Ratings 2 Hammers at Goodison

|

Macca gives his marks

Fabianski: Very comfortable afternoon 7
Johnson: Defended well, got forwards when he could. Good stuff 7
Zouma: Excellent block from Gray in stoppage time. Professional defending 8
Ogbonna: First goal of the season secured the win. Very secure with Zouma 8
Cresswell: One of his better recent performances I thought 7
Rice: Imperious again – what a player 9
Soucek: Looked a little more like the player we’ve come accustomed to seeing. Forced off after a boot to the face drew blood 7
Fornals: A very typical display. Covered a lot of ground to help nullify Everton’s few periods of control 7
Benrahma: Fits and starts again 7
Bowen: Really bright first fifteen minutes – showing worrying Yarmolenko-esque tendencies to turn in on his left a lot 7
Antonio: Found it tough in the first half but started to pull Everton’s defenders around much more effectively after the interval  8

Subs
Dawson: Replaced Soucek forming perhaps our tallest ever back-three 6
Lanzini: On late, no contribution of note  No rating
Yarmolenko: 60 seconds at the end  No rating
