Ratings 2: Irons v Arsenal

|

Fabianski: Remarkable game. Three incredible saves before the penalty stop. But please Fab get rid of the ball quicker – start attacks 10

Coufal: Incredibly unlucky to be sent off for that second yellow and never a pen. But he’s not quite himself at the moment and beaten a little too often 6+

Diop: Really good game against some serious pressure and one brilliant block towards the end of second half 8

Dawson: Magnificent – stood as a near one man barrier for much of the game. Amazing stuff 10

Masuaku: Worst game of the season to find him used as a defender. Moyes knew it, we all knew it. Started poorly, grew into a little bit against a peerless Saka 4

Rice: None of those searing runs but lots of hard running in a midfield where Arsenal were always on top 7

Soucek: Defended really well in front of the back four – better game than we have seen for a while 7+

Bowen: Never got into it in his usual style. High work rate but no serious impact 6

Lanzini: Played his part – drew a few fouls with some runs and neat short passing 6+

Fornals: One great curling first half shot just beat the upright and always energetic  6

Antonio: One or two better moments but nothing great before spending a lot of time at right wing back after the dreadful sending off 6

Subs

Benrahma: Awful and involved in helping Arsenal’s second goal 3

Ashby: Only on towards the end but this lad looks business., Did nothing wrong at all 6
