Winston Reid is making decent progress after his injury scare and should be set to take his place at the centre of defence against Chelsea this weekend.

We reported yesterday that the player had felt his hamstrings at Old Trafford and was brought off for precautionary reasons.

And ClaretandHugh has learned today that the player is now progressing well and should there be no further setbacks he will definitely be lining up in the high profile clash at Stamford Bridge.

A source told CandH: “It’s all looking good at the moment and Winston has had no further reaction. He’s a little behind on the training regime but he will be medically fit if required for the weekend. “

Should have Reid and Oxford back and Byram
Tomo must be close as well

Club doctor said Reid for selection in his statement earlier. He’s been training this week.

Reid looks terrible on the right side of central defence, should play Oxford there and keep Reid on the bench until he is fit to resume on the left side. Would also play Song against Chelski to nullify the threat from Hazard / Oscar / Willian depending on who they select.
