Report: Defender linked

|

The Hammers have been linked with a swoop for a new right-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Irons, of course, ended the January transfer window without any new additions but a deal to sign Rasmus Kristensen from RB Salzburg has now been mooted.

SportBild claims that the defender, who is a senior Denmark international, could become a target for the Irons as Salzburg look to raise funds for their own business.

Kristensen has also been linked with Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund, Roma, and Wolfsburg, so the Hammers would face some serious competition if they were to make a move.

The right-back, who is a goal threat and has scored nine goals and laid on seven assists this season, joined the club from Dutch giants Ajax back in 2019.

The Hammers are said to have scouted Kristensen first in 2020 but ended up signing Vlad Coufal instead, a deal which has almost certainly worked out!
