Report: Hammers chasing Championship man

|

West Ham are chasing a deal to sign Jason Adigun from Charlton Athletic in this transfer window, according to a new report.

Football League World reports that there are a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a potential move for the youngster, who has been prolific at youth level for the Addicks.

West Ham are one club eyeing a move, along with Crystal Palace, Brentford, Fulham and Millwall.

Adigun is just 18 and has hit double figures for goals in the league and the cup competitions that Charlton’s kids are currently playing in.

Charlton have brought through a number of excellent youth products, with Joe Gomez going on to be a star at Liverpool, and Ezri Konsa playing for Aston Villa.

We can see the Irons being interested in a deal for an exciting young talent who could bolster the U23 ranks, while offering the potential to develop into a first-team player at the London Stadium. Moderate Rater

First team needs recruits and theyre after under23 player. UNLESS we sign players our season will end in failure on all fronts.Which is what im expecting now. Had months to prepare for this window .Hardly appears they did, Funny how transfer windows suddenly appear !

To state the obvious we need first team recruits – we’ve got very good U23 players who are not being played in the first team – prioritise.
