Report: Hammers lead race for Palace wonderkid

|

West Ham are reportedly in front to sign Crystal Palace wonderkid Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The talented 18-year-old is said to a huge prospect but it looks like he won’t be sticking around at Palace for much longer as a long list of clubs eye up a deal.

Celtic, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Schalke and Everton are also said to be in pursuit.

Englishman Rak-Sakyi, who also qualifies for Ghana, joined Palace from Chelsea’s academy and has been praised by coaching staff for his pace, technical ability, tactical awareness and eye for goal.

According to the Daily Mail Rak-Sakyi is on a scholars’ deal after turning down a two-year professional contract offer from Palace which means any interested clubs would only have to pay around £150,000 in training compensation.
