Hammers plot £50M Madrid raid

West Ham have once again been linked with a potential move for Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz. This rumour previously circulated in July, so this could potentially be a recycled story. However, the report is doing the rounds in the Spanish sports media so there may be an element of truth to it.

According to the reports, Real Madrid have set an asking price of £52 million for the versatile attacker. However, given the substantial price tag, the likelihood of attracting interested parties seems questionable, especially considering the player’s modest goal-scoring record. Diaz came through the ranks at Manchester City and has had two stints at AC Milan.

The Spanish 24 years old, has contributed four goals and two assists in 17 games for Real Madrid this season. Renowned for his technical prowess with both feet, he can operate effectively in various attacking positions.

Whilst West Ham are actively seeking a versatile attacker, the club, under the guidance of Tim Steidten, has been focused on discovering hidden gems in the transfer market. This approach makes it improbable that West Ham would be willing to submit a bid exceeding £50 million for a player whose reputation extends throughout Europe
