Report: Irons target Liverpool defender

|

mamadou_sakho_2014Liverpool central defender Mamadou Sakho is this morning reported as being a target for the Irons and Leicester City in the the January wndow.

The player has fallen out of favour with boss Jurgen Klopp over the summer and has spent the season so far very much on the sidelines.

The 26-year-old angered his manager when he arrived late for the flight taking the squad on a pre-season tour of the USA amid fears  concerns about his attitude.

This rift followed Sakho’s voluntary provisional ban in April in relation to a drugs test. UEFA later dismissed the case against Sakho.

This season, Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip  have established themselves as Klopp’s first-choice central defenders and Sakho has failed to get a look in.
