Cutting it fine, if the report stacks up. West Ham are reported as aiming to beat Rangers to the signing of their 23 year old striker target ahead of Tuesday night’s transfer deadline.
The 23 year old in question, French Senegalese forward Ibrahima Balde from French Ligue 2 side Rodez AF, has been a Rangers target this summer despite the Scottish side missing out onEuropean football. According to rangersnews.uk the Hammers – whose transfer business is spearheaded by former Rangers technical director Nils Koppen, of course – are late entrants for the young forward’s signature:
“West Ham gatecrash Rangers race for Ibrahima Balde as £2.5m transfer threat emerges.
Rangers face major English competition in their pursuit of Rodez AF forward Ibrahima Balde, with West Ham United officially entering the race to land the in-form Ligue 2 striker.

Late bid? Reportedly….Ibrahima Balde (No, not Baldy, Nuno….)
The 23-year-old French-Senegalese attacker has been closely monitored by the Ibrox recruitment team as Derek McInnes looks to bolster his forward options ahead of the transfer deadline…
French transfer insider Abdel Hamed has revealed that West Ham are preparing to hijack the move, with the London side ready to meet Rodez’s asking price ( £2.5 million – MT ) without hesitation.”
If true, there’s a lot more yet to unfold in the two and a half days left of the transfer window: Reports swirl around concerning left backs too – more later on that front.
Thanks Martin
For a defensive manager Nuno seems to be going for a lot of attackers
I think now our priority should be a central defender and a left back
Anyway come Tuesday night all will be revealed

Joining Nuno is likely to be a concern. Apparently Nuno took offence at James Ward Prowse’s calls of ‘Balde’.
Nuno and West Ham could do without more friction from within.
This late on. Truth is they would either be in London now or it is just another rumour.
