Sean seen as you have a direct route to Sullivan. Can you tell us if he would look at poaching a director of Football like Luis Campos or Michael Zorc. 2 DoF’s with proven records of buying cheap young talent and selling high Campos had recently said he wants out of Lille so could be perfect timing. If this is not something Sullivan would do can you explain why? We need DS and Salthouse to have no involvement in our recruitment going forward besides setting the transfer budget in advance of the window
Hold on Glenn, who says we have a direct route to the board and Sulllivan? It’s an assumption too many have made and is now wrongly taken as fact!
If we got a DoF with a track record of buying young and cheap and selling high, there’d be some on this and other West ham sites that still wouldn’t be happy, if we started doing exactly that! I think we can all agree that DS should be nowhere near recruitment, but beyond that it starts to get really difficult really quickly about what a recruitment strategy should look like.
Well we need to at least put scout’s in place. Its ridiculous for a Premier league club not to have any scouts on the books. But I also think a DoF that Moyes is happy with needs to be an option
Good article
What many don’t know is that anybody in the West Ham media world can email David Sullivan and ask him questions. Doesn’t mean he’s going to answer them but the man has an ego and enjoys gossiping so who knows what he might reveal if asked.
One question I would ask him, if I had his email address, is why are we buying players based on who their agent is? Should it not be about trying to find the best players whoever their agent is? Why dies he always use salthouse. Is it because hes a mate and he trusts salthouse to get the deal done compared to other agents? What’s the story?
Only player we should be looking at out of those that could improve our current team is said Benrahma. Plus we’ve lost Diangana and Anderson our only two out and out left wingers.
