Revealed: The top ten Hammers names on our shirts

|

It’s official …

Mikey Antonio – if the name on the back of most Hammers shirts is taken as the yardstick – is the club’s most popular player.

The 30 year old is even ahead of the club’s longest serving player Mark Noble  following a little survey conducted by Claretandhugh.

Mikey didn’t have his best game for the club against Villa last night and clearly needs some more time to get back to his brilliant best but he’s the man we find may well have captured more hearts among the fans than any other Hammer.

But it’s interesting to discover that relative newcomers like Jarrod Bowen, Tomas Soucek and Said Benrahma have established themselves in the top ten .

Our inquiries have established that Antonio is top ahead of Mark Noble with Declan Rice in third place.

They are followed by Jarrod Bowen in fourth, Tomas Soucek, fifth and Said Benrahma in sixth, Lukasz Fabianski in seventh, Manu Lanzini eighth, Pablo Fornals ninth and Oggy a surprisingly low 10th.

So there’s no place for Aaron Cresswell,  Fabian Balbuena, Issa Diop or Seb Haller whilst  Vladimir Coufal has had little chance to make an impression on things given no fans have been around since his arrival,
