|

Hammer Declan Rice has been nominated for the Young Player of the Year at the PFA awards.

Similar to the PFA Player of the Year award, the PFA Young Player of the Year is an annual award given to a player aged 23 or under, who has had a breakthrough season in English Football.

The award announcement is scheduled to be made on June 4exactly a week before Euro 2020 kicks off.

The 22-year-old Hammer was last  nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2019 which was won by Raheem Sterling.

Last year he missed out on a nomination with the award won by Trent Alexander-Arnold in 2020.

Rice  has also been nominated for the Premier League end of season awards.

West Ham’s vice-captain and regular England International has been shortlisted for the Hublot Young Player of the Year award following his role in leading the Hammers to a top-six finish.
