Rock bottom Silkmen stand in Irons way

|

Rock bottom League club Macclesfield Town provide the opposition as the Hammers look to progress in the Carabao Cup at the London Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers are eyeing a place in the fourth round as they take on a club without a single win to their name this season and having been beaten three times in the last four matches.

Normally it would be a good time to throw in the likes of Nathan Holland and Xande Silva who have both been training with the first team over recent weeks.

Sadly both will miss out with Holland sidelined via an ankle injury for a month and Silva ruled out for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

It means the Irons will probably be putting out a stronger team than might otherwise be expected with the likes of Fredericks, Ogbonna and Cresswell returning at the back.

Tickets are available to purchase by clicking here – starting at just £10 adults and £5 under-16s.
