Midfielder “suffered” for the Chelsea point

|

Pedro Obiang is demanding more of himself after making a successful return to the first team.

The midfielder has turned in two fine performances in  the Hammers midfield and looked the part alongside Noble and Rice at Everton and against Chelsea.

He was delighted to be involved yesterday and told the official site: “It was a difficult point. We needed to suffer to get it, but for us it was a very positive one because we needed it.

“It is obvious that we have improved, otherwise we would not have taken four points in these last two matches. We have to improve more to meet the expectations that we have about us. We are doing it little-by-little, week-by-week.

“The expectations with the new signings and the new coach are very big. We had a bad start and now we have to organise ourselves little-by-little.

“I am personally feeling good. I’m playing in a new position. Obviously I have to improve and be more intense and be able to help the team.”

He is one of my favourite players, seems like Rice to be very grounded and with a great attitude, hopefully as the results improve and we move upward he will reconsider the desire to move back to Italy.

AGree no 32 – what this also shows is that Pelle is happy to give players a chance – IMO a very good sign
