CandH/Romano confirm Hammers and Maguire position

West Ham have made no further inquiries about Harry Maguire’s availability or attempted to agree financial terms with Manchester United for a January switch.

No talks going on for Maguire

That can be confirmed both by Claret and Hugh and ITK Fabrizio Romano – nether of whom have been told anything different by the club or sources within it.

One thing is for sure however, that being Tim Steidten would be in opposition to it as we do know from our own contacts at the London Stadium that he wants to see much younger players brought into the club.

Whilst David Moyes still has first choice of players there is much discussion and to-ing and fro-ing  between the technical director, the manager and of course David Sullivan.

Maguire position: No talks going on

And with the England defender hitting 31 years of age in March next year both a fee of £30 million and his wages are surely too much to tempt Moyes for a second or third time around,

Romano s- writing in his Daily Briefing – said today: “Despite new links with West Ham, I’m told Man United have not received any approach from West Ham at the moment. We will see in December, but at the moment there are no discussions ongoing.”
