Spanish defender on radar

The West Ham transfer juggernaut seems to be showing no signs of stopping as we are now being linked with the Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda.

Needless to say we are not alone in this , as Palace and Chelsea are also monitoring him.

The young defender joined Real Madrid’s youth setup in 2014 before leaving the club in 2018. He eventually signed for Valladolid in 2020 and made his professional debut aged just 17. He went on to make his league debut in September 2022 and has since become a regular member of the first-team squad.

Despite his young age and only playing in 26 games, various pundits have marked him out as one of the best prospects in Europe and it seems inevitable that he will end up going to a Premiership club .

Despite his tender years, transfermarkt give him a valuation of £15m, and we do need a right-back with pace, as dear old Vladimir Coufal , despite his many redeeming qualities is not the quickest.
