Tottenham Hotspur are set to join West Ham United in the race to sign Corinthians winger Wesley. It is understood that the Hammers’ £12.8 million offer was rejected by the Brazilian club for their prized asset.

Wesley has risen through the ranks at Corinthians and has established himself as a key member of their first team. The young Brazilian starlet has made 57 senior appearances for the club so far, scoring four goals and providing three assists across various competitions.

While his goal-scoring record may not seem impressive, the winger is highly regarded and shares similarities with West Ham’s own Mohammed Kudus in terms of strength and direct running.

Wesley has the ability to create space for himself to shoot at goal. He also possesses the vision to set up several promising opportunities for his teammates in the final third and is a dynamic runner with the ball. However, the Brazilian talent is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level.

His current contract with Corinthians runs until the end of 2027, which could make it challenging for West Ham to secure him on a cut-price deal after this season.

I sit in Trevor brooking stand and was amazed to hear so many people talking about not renewing their season ticket if Moyes stays!!! Feelings are really running high. “Careful what you wish for” 🤣 whoever said that needs sacking!
