Steidten fears send Hammers tensions through the roof

West Ham are desperately trying to convince Tim Steidten not to leave his role as technical director as tensions at the club start to go through the roof.

The Guardian‘s Jacob Steinberg claims that Moyes’ hopes of landing a new deal and his and Steidten’s relationship appears to be at the bottom of the problem.

Claret and Hugh revealed recently that the manager had rejected virtually every name put forward in the winter window with the only arrival being his choice – the ill fated Kalvin Phillips loan deal.

Steinberg confirms that and adds there are fears within the club Steidten is unhappy and could walk away in the summer. He adds that his sources have told him he is frustrated with the way West Ham operate and that he is short of power.

For that to increase Moyes seems certain to have to leave as he appears to be scuppering the technical director’s his job from reports received by our own sources.

If Moyes does leave then Steidten will hope to be leading the chase for a new manager suggesting that the manager is going nowhere right now

It seems bizarre Steidten has brought in his brother, Moritz Steidten, as head of international scouting and recruitment and hired Maximilian Hahn as head of technical recruitment and analysis at a time when the uneasiness between him and Moyes is such that he could walk away from the club

He will outlast Moyes..if he was going he would tell his brother to hang fire where he was and join him at Liverpool or elsewhere when he moved on..
If anything it appears he is the one winning any supposed battle for power by bringing in more of his trusted lieutenants.
