Sullivan intends to keep Dimi for “years to come”

|

payet3David Sullivan has made it clear it is “very much the club’s intention” to keep Dimi Payet at West Ham for years to come.

Speaking to the official website he explained how he had watched the England game against Scotland with his two sons whilst channel hopping to keep an eye on Dimi who was playing for France against Sweden.

He told the official site “We also flicked channels throughout the game to see Dimitri Payet in outstanding form for France – again!

Dimitri has had an outstanding year and has become a vital player for France and I am so proud that he is a West Ham player.

“He has played 16 times for his country in 2016, scoring seven goals and assisting five more, and inspiring them to the final of the European Championship.

Dimi signed a new long-term contract in February, pledging his future to this club, and it is very much our intention that he remains with us for years to come.”
