Supporter jumps season waiting list queue

|

The old saying is ‘if you don’t ask you don’t get!’

Never was that saying more true for one West Ham supporter on the season ticket waiting list.

He messaged West Ham Vice-Chairman Karren Brady to say “I paid £56 for my 6-year-old to attend this Spurs game this season.”

When Brady suggested he buy a £99 season ticket for his son the dad replied  “I’ve tried on numerous occasions Karren! He’s only 6 so was too young when we first moved. He’s only missed 3 home games this season and I’ve spent well over £250 on tickets so far. So it’s far from £5.21 per game. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 22 years. He’s been on the waiting list for c. 18 months and no news at all.”

In reply, Karren promised his son a season ticket  “If you direct message me I will ensure he gets a £99 season ticket next season, and if you want an adult one its £320 for the whole season…we are the home of affordable football and have over 35,000 families coming each game…” later adding “Thank you being one of our loyal Season Ticket holders. I have now followed you so you can message me direct and I will get someone from the Ticket Office to contact you on Monday and we can sort this out for you”

The season ticket waiting was once claimed to have over 55,000 although this time last year the club confirmed it had dropped to 36,000 in an article Claret and Hugh run at the time
