Former West Ham United midfielder Michael Carrick is being linked with replacing Nuno Espírito Santo as West Ham boss, according to a breaking report from talkSPORT.

The Hammers manager is said to be under serious pressure to win against Tottenham Hotspur in West Ham’s next Premier League fixture. Despite concerns surrounding the transfer of Pablo, it appears the club are still willing to continue backing Nuno for the remainder of the transfer window.

However, when Claret & Hugh spoke to a source involved in multiple transfer deals, we were told:

“Carrick isn’t close to joining West Ham. They’re still backing Nuno. He had talks with Manchester United a few days ago.”

No Change Imminent at West Ham

We have also been informed that there are currently no talks taking place to bring Slaven Bilić back to the club.

All indications are that West Ham are backing Nuno Espírito Santo both publicly and privately, with sources close to the club suggesting there is no imminent change planned.

For now, it appears the current manager will remain in charge for both the Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham matches, despite the reports circulating from talkSPORT.

Carrick more likely to join Man Utd than West Ham United

Despite being a rich person (somehow it happens) Sully seems to exhibit insecurity with his executive decision making. After many years we still don’t have a management infrastructure suitable to run the club. 7th biggest revenue in EPL yet huge losses on transfer spending.

I think it is obvious Nuno has lost the dressing room – they just aren’t playing for him. No good blaming players if they don’t believe and trust the coach. Any sensible executive would have recognised the signs and binned Nuno by now. Please do not bring Bilic back. His hammers team was the most unfit I have ever seen. I think Carrick would be a good choice. It may be difficult to bring an experienced coach to the club, except for Sam that is….

Carrick will be yet another disaster. For heavens sake
