The other side of the Payet story

|

LeonFormer West Ham DJ Leon Hyde called into Talksport Radio last night to elaborate on the personal problems which have been rumoured to be behind Payet’s reason to want to return to France.

Leon told Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy:“There is two sides to a story, and the other side I have been told is Payet and his wife are separated. He is living here, she is in France. After every game he goes back to France and spends time with his kids and obviously her. Now you have a player that is home sick and he doesn’t want to be in this country”

payetkidsLeon claimed Payet was happy and wanted to stay at West Ham. Speaking to Goldstein and Cundy he added:“We have all been there boys, when your old girl is in your ear and she wants you there, you are homesick and you are missing your kids, Christmas etc. Of course he going to be upset from the start of the summer, he wants to be home with his kids and that is why he hasn’t been performing and that is why he only wants to go back to France.”

Summing up Leon told Talksport listeners: “He is homesick, he is not seeing his kids and he goes home after every game. Bilic gives him a little bit of time off, more than he does with other players, he goes back sees his kids, that causes upset because he has to leave them and his wife and kids won’t come back to England.”

You know what there might be a lot of truth in this but is it really a justifable reason for the Richardhead to go on strike, throw down his tools with his dummy.Nah i aint having it sorry.
Damn now the Fat Frog has got me fired up again 😂

The other part of this article i dont get is why anyone would want to voluntarily phone in to speak to that gonad Cundy 😁

  • IronMan says:

I’m not saying ‘it ain’t so’ but if you wanted a bit of sympathy and an easier life as you slink away, not working but taking a cool £125k a week, this would be a good way to take the pressure off you, wouldn’t it? In addition, he has ‘previous’ at former clubs back home in France. What was the (homesick) problem then? Sorry, no, I’m affraid I don’t buy a word of this. He should be dead to us… as Gary Neveille put it, like a grain of sand on the beech.

    fake-news

  • Michael Miller says:

It’s all part and parcel of playing football for a living – obviously you want to keep the wife and family happy but he’s supposed to be a Professional and would have to ‘work round’ any personal ‘issues’.

It’s why so many people who work away from home have such chequered Marital histories – you can sympatise to a certain extent, but Payet downing tools is beyond the pale – he’s cause irreperable damage to his reputation in this Country and the only sensible thing is to get rid of him!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Well when i said there might be a lot of truth to this i was just being kind for a change. What i really wanted to say wouldnt have made it past anything other than a lot of these ‘*******’ things 😁

  • eastendexile says:

On his money he could afford to fly in and out by chopper every day he had to train. It’s not as if they have to do an 8 hour day is it.
Instead of which he is acting like a big chopper.
The sensible thing from our viewpoint is to get maximum profit from selling him, but my heart says let him rot with the u21 and stiffs; but that only harms us as we could get someone in who wants to play with the 10 others on the pitch!

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Yeah same as i.I really want him to get frozen out to decompose with the stiffs but then i think we could do stuff with the cash.
I dont know,i think the selling him option is the way to go 😃

  • GW says:

Oh poor old Dimi I’m actually devastated for him driving around in his £280k Ferrari and only living on a paltry 125k a week! Maybe we should dig him his own personal channel tunnel so that he can bomb backwards and forwards to that far off place called France as it’s obviously not accessible by plane or train in a hour or so 🙂 Tell you what Dimi how about we just move the club to France for you you little precious cherub FFS.

  • MattyJL7 says:

He’s gone on strike, then he’s claiming a back injury (rubbish) so he can protect his £125K a week while he’s on strike, and all because he’s homesick?!
All due respect to all (except payet) but i dont believe a word of the homesick story.
Not good enough. He’s betrayed the club, Slaven Bilic and most importantly the fans.
Everyone now rightly thinks he’s a petulant child, and everyone is exactly right about that.
Get the maximum amount of money for him, whenever that offer may come. Don’t be in a hurry to get rid, who cares if he has to sweat it out! We should hang on for top money, and that way, at least West Ham will get something out of payet’s ridiculous tantrum.

  • Long Fella says:

Just when i thought things couldn’t get any worse we have the reappearance of the imbecile big mouth on WHTID.I wonder what fans he will be decieding to brand today!!

    • GW says:

Long Fella don’t get me started 🙂 I’m about to snap with the poor old Dimi’s been lied to bollox and how Nobes should constantly play whatever form he’s in because he bleeds claret and blue 🙂

    • John says:

Long Fella your post yesterday about MoanTillIDie breeding imbeciles and releasing them into the wide cracked me up. Go, run free young imbecile, run with the wind. Lmao.

      • John says:

        Into the wild I mean!

        • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Lol yeah didnt you know we all love the board because we dont moan about them everyday.
Guess what i have the right hump at the moment because they havnt replyed to an email i sent about a week ago.Guess what it aint the first time & im naffed off about it.Guess what theres much i cant stomach about what they do.Do i have to tell everyone to be in the gang.
There you go i moaned about the club. Now can i get back to the real world where i dont have to blow my load moaning about them all the time.

Give me Nigel Kahn everytime,i have proper respect for him.Nailed his colours to the mast from the get go & was right about much of the stuff.Do i have respect for these idiots who only b1tch about the club because their mouths are wider than Payets waist line.No chance😀

    • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Thats you that is GW.One of these ‘orrible men who make Noble a scapegoat 😂😂

      • GW says:

Yeah I mean he’s been world class all year with his wide range of 5 yard sideways and backwards passing 🙂 But what do I know I’ve only been to every home and away game and obviously my eyes are not as good as those watching on a delayed stream from Scandinavia or North America 🙂

        • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

It does my head in mate all this rubbish because you dont moan about the club all the time.Where the eff where all these fans who couldn’t be bothered to go to away matches under Hippo because they decieded it wasnt worth it.We were all still going even though we hated the football & now these pillow munchers want to b1tch about people who dont moan. They can do one 😁😁

        • Long Fella says:

I hear what youre saying gw.The one with the biggest mouth has been about as close to our new gaff as halleys comet has but is still the worlds leading expert on it.

  • John says:

I’m going to be in the minority here but I can see Payet playing for us again. He will get time off and the promise that it will be reviewed again in the summer. That will allow both sides time and save face. I’m not sure how the fans will react but with the right words from both sides I reckon this just might happen. You heard it here first.

  • master says:

Both of his sons were at school and nursery yesterday, so the story them being in France is complete made up rubbish. By him and his agent.

  • Radai Lama..Out of contract & available says:

Good detective work Master but i think we all know most of this family stuff is a convient get out dont we.Going for the sympathy vote 😉

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I think he should be exiled to the reserves if an offer doesn’t come in that is acceptable, even better tell him he can train on his own until the summer that’s what other clubs do, no reason why we shouldn’t do the same, lets see when his international place is threatened whether he decides to change his attitude and buck up until the summer when he can be sold. I still don’t understand on the other matter why we haven’t offered Brentford what they asked for, we can give Hogan a medical if he fails it then send him back if he doesn’t then it will be a shot in the arm for the team to have a lively striker with a bit of pace in the team.

  • oldiron says:

Jose mariniho manages to visit his wife in Portugal, she is ill I believe, and still do his job for Man Utd.
Payet goes home after each match as it is only a short hop home to Marseille these days so I don’t think it has anything to do with homesickness it has all to do with the fact we didn’t beat Astra Guiguo and failed to qualify for Europe.
Well he was part of the reason we failed so he should stay and help us do it this season, but NO he wants to be away and sod the Hammers , well sod him he can go rot somewhere else and when he doae I hope he gets his leg broke or suffers a serious injury and ****s up his new team .

  • kevin says:

. We don’t need you . In fact it gives other players the chance to give it a go instead of making space for you . Bilic did a wrong’an making life easy for you and even I was doubting Bilic and saying things like he should go . Hell we even had fans casting aspersions on Noble amongst others . Little did we know that we were playing a game just to accommodate a selfish , greedy and petulant git like you . You have a lot to answer for and will probably be the most hated player ever to leave West Ham . Go now and don’t ever talk about West Ham . The East End of London are not your kind of people and neither are you Thier’s . You hateful little ***.
I spent almost my entire working life away from home in places like , Arabia , Yemen , Oiltankers , oil rigs ., to name but a few , But I never let my side down . Didn’t run away with millions in the bank . So your claim of home sickness is a load of ******** .. all you want is stardom status and loads of money . Great players don’t give up and run away , they fight and struggle and shine . You are now so dulled in our opinion that no amount of polish will ever make you shine again . So , back to France and let me get on with supporting my Team , which is very probably better off without you .

It’s being reported that he took a million pound loyalty bonus just four months ago, if the homesick story was true he would have known back in September but he took the money anyway, nasty disloyal typical mercenary modern footballer….scum bag.

    First post .. be gentle

So I spent nine years working in Prague and married a local girl. We moved back to the UK 13 years ago as my job needed me to. She wasn’t too chuffed as she is very close to her family and not a day goes past when she doesn’t miss them. However as a family unit we needed the money that my relocation back to London bought and that’s what families do..support each other …. maybe I don’t get what Payet is going through….maybe because I’m not on £120k a week and maybe because I wasn’t adored by hundreds of thousands of fans. However I can at least look in the mirror and say I’m a man of my word. Dimi can you ?
