The return of Arnie

|

West Ham are set for a huge boost over the Christmas games with the return of Marko Arnautovic for either the match against Southampton or Burnley.

The big fella has made a quicker than expected recovery from injury and has been described as being 95 per cent certain to appear at St Mary’s or Turf Moor.

Marko’s return could be perfectly timed with Chicharito  likely to be missing following worries over a hamstring and with AC still only around 40 per cent fit.

ClaretandHugh was told this a few minutes ago by phone from a senior source the striker was now closing in on a return to action.

He said: “He’s looking good but is unlikely to be able to play both games. One or the other looks likely though. We reckon that’s a 95 per cent probability.”

However, he added: “You always have to realise that Arnie makes these decisions. He’s something of a law unto himself where that’s concerned!”

Start with Carroll and Antonio for both games with Arnie on the bench – see how it goes. If we’re winning don’t bring Arnie on, if we’re not, bring him on at half time.

Yesterday shows how important he is to us.Physical Watford team would not have phased Arnie in fact he would have relished the challenge.Would have put away a couple of those squandered chances too.

How did Carroll go from 75% match fit to 40% fit in a week?!! Oh FFS we could do with him contributing at some point – he has the skills to hurt teams like watford, Southampton and Burnley who are all gonna be physical games – is it time to just give up hope with Big AC?!!!
