Thousands receive disappointing email

|

Thousands of West Ham season ticket holders received an email from the club this evening informing they were not successful in the ballot for a golden ticket for Saturday’s game against Manchester United in the London Stadium.

Around 28,000 unlucky supporters including us here at Claret and Hugh received an email which told them

“You have unfortunately not been successful in our ticket ballot for this Saturday’s Premier League fixture v Manchester United.

All supporters who were successful in securing a ticket for this fixture will not be eligible to enter the ballot again until every other Season Ticket Holder wishing to attend has been given the opportunity to do so while capacity remains restricted. This will give you a greater chance of securing a ticket for our next home fixture v Crystal Palace on 16 December.

You will be refunded for this weekend’s fixture automatically by your original payment method on the 11 December, or via Club Cash if you have selected that option, which also comes with a 10% bonus.

We share your disappointment that not all of our loyal Season Ticket Holders will be at London Stadium in person this weekend, giving their fantastic backing to the team – you will be missed. However, this is an important and positive first step towards having all 60,000 supporters back together as soon as it is safe to do so.

There is huge positivity around the Club following the team’s strong start to the Premier League season and having our supporters back will only increase that feel-good factor.

We look forward to welcoming you back to London Stadium as soon as possible.

Come on you Irons!”
