Jamie Vardy remains a major doubt for Leicester’s clash with West Ham on Saturday.
The striker has been battling a stomach problem since dashing off the pitch in the 87th minute to find a toilet in his team 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Monday evening.
Leicester Manager Claude Puel told reporters at his pre-match press conference yesterday: ‘For two days he was not well with a stomach problem – he came back to training today. Of course he couldn’t finish the game on Monday so we’ll see how he is for this game. We’ll monitor him in training and see if he can make progress. He had a problem but now it is more calm.’
On West Ham this season Puel “It is very difficult to start a season with new players and a new manager but they make progress and they improve. They beat Everton and United. We need to be careful about this team because they have a lot of quality in the squad, quite a lot of good players with good attributes like Anderson and Arnautovic”
