A video of a steward joining in singing with Manchester United fans at London Stadium on Monday was NOT a West Ham steward the club have revealed.
The video posted by an away supporter went viral on social media as West Ham supporters wrongly believed the steward was employed by the stadium operators.
In reality the orange jacketed steward was a travelling steward that the Manchester team brought with them on their travels.
West Ham took to their own official twitter account to set the record straight “To clarify, for away games clubs routinely take their own stewards to matches to assist. We have checked and this is a MUFC steward”
Adding “For away games clubs including West Ham United routinely take their own stewards to matches to assist. Please note the steward videoed chanting with away fans on Monday evening has been identified as a Man Utd representative”

So Mr.Whetstone it would appear your article on this subject last night was just a case of rabble rousing & troublemaking Lol
The video had already gone viral on social media before I ran the article. Once the facts had been clarified I took down the article and replaced it with this one
