Vote of confidence for another West Ham win

|

Over 87% of Claret and Hugh readers think that West Ham will beat Cardiff City tonight at the London Stadium. Just 2.5% of almost one thousand votes predict a draw while 10.5% predict a loss tonight.

West Ham has played the Welsh side a total of 58 games since their first game one hundred and four years ago in Southern First league on 10th April 1914, a game in which Cardiff finished as the 2-0 victors. West Ham has won 31 games, drawn 16 and lost 11 matches to Cardiff City.

The Hammers largest win was on 20th December 1966 when West Ham came out the 6-2 winners in the League Cup.

In more recent times West Ham has recorded an impressive six wins in a row in seven years of success against Cardiff.

Bookies make West Ham the odds-on 4/6 favourites to win on Tuesday night, the draw is quoted as 3/1 while a Cardiff win is the outside chance at 5/1.

The team has been announced as West Ham United: Fabianski, Antonio, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Rice, Noble (c), Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson, Arnautovic, Chicharito  Subs: Adriank (GK), Zabaleta, Balbuena, Obiang, Diangana, Lucas, Carroll
