Areola:7 First save on 16 mins from Gravenberch. A few tames shots to save in the first half. Should have done better with Robertsons goal as Liverpool game out fighting in the 2nd half. Good save on 57 mins from Alexander Arnold. Double save on 69 mins to stop it becoming 3-1.

Coufal:7 At times had three separate players to mark and Liverpool overloaded their left flank. Almost scored with a deflected shot and seemed to get to grips with Diaz. Great defending at the end of the game to deny Nunez.

Zouma:7 Started the game well and looked solid. Came under huge pressure in the second half.

Ogbonna:6 Thought he’d conceded a penalty but was saved by an offside call. Great block in the second half. Unlucky to score an own goal to put the Hammers 2-1 down following huge pressure from Liverpool.

Emerson:7 Grew into the game in the first half. Forced a great save in the 76th minute. Made two headers off the line.

Alvarez:8 Made same crucial blocks and interceptions one of which started the move which led to the first goal. Slow to close down for the Liverpool equaliser but otherwise back to his best.

Soucek:5 One excellent interception set up a chance for Bowen.

Paqueta:3 Immediately gave the ball away and was lucky not to be carded early. Like playing with 10 men.

Bowen:8 Great nutmeg started a great run which forced a corner. Should have done better with a chance on 13 mins. Forced a corner with a smart shot then scored from the resulting corner to put West Ham 1-0 up before half time. Suppled an excellent cross for Antonio’s goal.

Kudus:7 Full of running and battling, supplied the cross for Bowen’s opener. Should have been moved into a central position but never stopped trying.

Antonio:6 Found it difficult to get into the game and became frustrated.  Scored with a header on 76 mins to make the game 2-2.

Substitutes:

Ward Prowse: 73rd minute change for Soucek. No real impact
