West Ham chase Zouma replacement

Adarabioyo targeted as Zouma replacement

Reports suggest that West Ham United are eyeing a potential move for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who is nearing the end of his contract. With the 26-year-old set to become a free agent, the Hammers see an opportunity to bolster their defensive line, an area where we have been shockingly bad recently.

The addition of a quality defender is crucial for West Ham as Tim Steidten looks to address our defensive shortcomings. Adarabioyo’s experience in the Premier League could provide a solution to our defensive woes, making him an enticing prospect for the club.

Currently, West Ham’s defensive stability is in question, with concerns surrounding the fitness and performance levels of key central defenders such as Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna, and Konstantinos Mavropanos. Given this scenario, a potential move for Adarabioyo could offer a much-needed solution.

Whilst the validity of the reports remains uncertain, it’s evident that West Ham’s defensive line-up requires significant attention and possibly a summer overhaul. As David Moyes (if he’s still here) seeks to strengthen his squad, securing Adarabioyo’s signature could be a step in the right direction for the Hammers. The Irons have a horrendous record with central defenders despite manager David Moyes seemingly signing at least one every season. In many respects, West Ham have something of a defensive crisis at centre half so perhaps the signing of the former Man City man makes sense.
