Mipo Odebeko being released from the club

West Ham are reportedly not offering new contracts with Mipo Odubeko and Jamal Baptiste this summer accoring to The Athletic. The young pair will see their deals expire at the month and will become available as free agents.

The duo ‘will go’ following the end of the most recent Premier League season. It also seems likely that Manuel Lanzini is expected to head out the exit door at the London Stadium.

The Irons are preparing for their upcoming Europa Conference League final against Serie A side Fiorentina in Prague. Once that is over, they will start to turn their focus on the next campaign and then they will publish their retained list.

Odubeko, who is 20-years-old, joined the Hammers in 2019 after spells at both Manchester City and Manchester United. The Dublin-born striker has since played twice for the first-team.

He has also been loaned out to Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and most recently Port Vale to gain experience. He spent last term with the latter and scored four goals in 27 games in all competitions.

Defender Baptiste has been on the books of the London club since 2011 and has risen up through the academy. The former England youth international has only played twice for the senior team.
