West Ham Insider Trashes Reports of Arsenal Agreement for Kudus

Reports that West Ham will accept a €70 million offer from Arsenal for Mohammed Kudus have been rubbished by a club insider this evening.

A story began to circulate late this afternoon, claiming that the Hammers had already agreed a fee with the North London club for the Ghanaian winger.

However, Claret & Hugh has been told by a club source that this is “very much not the case”, adding that the reported transfer fee — which converts to £59 million — would be considered derisory by the West Ham board.

C&H’s top source within the London Stadium has also confirmed within the last few minutes that no approach has been made for Kudus.

Arsenal are said to be exploring options to upgrade Gabriel Martinelli, who was ironically offered to West Ham for £1.5m by Ituano in 2018 before joining the Gunners. While Martinelli has impressed under Mikel Arteta, it’s understood that Arsenal feel there is room for improvement on the left flank.

It’s something of an open secret that Kudus is high on the wanted list of the club who face off in the second leg Champions League semi final against PSG tomorrow.

West Ham, however, hope for a bidding war this summer to drive Kudus’ price tag closer to his £85m Premier League release clause.

For now, any suggestion of an agreement with Arsenal at £59m is being firmly dismissed by the club.

Release clauses are nice in theory but only work if the player is scoring untold goals and performing at a very high level consistently.

Vinny Junior at Madrid has a £860m clause but will get sold for a fraction of that figure.

Players values increase when a team performs well and decreases if the opposite.

Sullivan & Brady are rapidly decreasing the value of the squad and are deluded. We can’t attract players now like Kudus and we can’t retain them either.

First things first Gonzo, you stated “A story began to circulate late this afternoon, claiming that the Hammers had already agreed a fee.” Are you for real, you posted a story this morning and helped spread those rumours. Also why would the rumour state that Arsenal are offering 70 million euros when Arsenal and West Ham would be dealing in pounds sterling. C&H doing their usual thing of scouring the web for stories so they don’t have to do to much work writing something original or do any due diligence, just copy and paste most of it. Its obviously from some obscure website in Europe that C&H have been following for their inaccurate and irrelevant rumour mill. Once again they have proven themselves to be the kings of clickbait! This place has become an absolute joke and its just shocking what you are willing to post just to make money off our club. The divisiveness and division that polarises our fanbase starts here nearly every time. This place is completely unrecognisable from what Hughie set up! if I could get the website banned I would as you just use it as an opportunity to voice the rubbish and drivel you peddle for clicks!

Can you please explain why we would sell him below his release clause…you say a bidding war to get close to the clause …but WHY . A release clause is exactly that they have to meet that figure ….? I doubt I’ll get an awnser of gonzo ..so could someone else explain why we would sell below the release clause ???

Probably because he has been absolute rubbish this season and, based on his performances, is worth nowhere near the release clause figure. And of course, we’re skint and need money to rebuild. I reckon Sullivan wil be delighted to receive £59m.

Sorry but totally disagree..the whole team have underperformed apart from maybe bowen and awb …you don’t
Become a bad player over one bad season..the whole team has been crap…kudus and paq are QAULITY players that you won’t replace…why do you think all the big clubs like arsenal are after them …but he’s not good enough for us🤣 …i think that sums the mindset up with the clowns running this club…kudus is rubbish ,so let’s sell him to a top tier team for less than the release clause ..can you not see the stupidity in that ..if they don’t meet the release clause FKING KEEP HIM …WHY SELL OUR BEST PLAYERS ….all players have bad times..look at city ..butvone bad season and you talk about selling one of our best for peanuts …….fk me this club is ridiculously thick
