West Ham latest injury update

West Ham remains without Manuel Lanzini, Lukasz Fabianski and Jack Wilshere.

Fabianksi is claimed to be making good progress and is targeting a return on Boxing day against Crystal Palace but could be the following game two days later against Leicester City on 28th December. In late November Pellegrini said: “We will see what the doctors say; the first date that was around was about Christmas, but we don’t have an exact date yet.”

Jack Wilshere has no return date as he continues to struggle with an ongoing hip or pelvic injury. In Late November Pellegrini revealed “Jack continues with some problem. I hope that next week he will start working with the squad.”

Manuel Lanzini is expected to return from his shoulder injury in January and is targeting a return as early as New years day. Pellegrini told reporters in late November “Manuel just started working yesterday on the pitch but he needs at least one month more without any problems with his shoulder; he cannot have any contact.”

Winston Reid has been now declared fit and available for selection with the manager saying this week “Winston Reid is working without problems.”

Aaron Cresswell was forced off injured against Arsenal with a tight hamstring but has recovered fully and has trained all week so should be available for selection.

Andriy Yarmolenko was missing the Arsenal game with a back problem but again has recovered and is said to have trained all week but faces a late fitness test to be available for selection.

  1. Is it even worth mentioning Wilshire anymore. The whole thing around him is a joke.

  2. Even mentioning Wilshire is embarrassing.
