West Ham linked to Man City ace

|

ACCORDING to various reports it appears that West Ham have been looking at a possible  move to sign Manchester City ace Kyle Walker ahead of the summer transfer window.

Walker has fallen well down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad ,and could be allowed to leave the Premier League champions this summer, with Rico Lewis coming through the ranks.

Could West Ham really sign the 75-capped England international though?

Various media outlets suggest that the Hammers could swoop in for the former Sheffield United and Tottenham right-back, with his future at the Etihad uncertain.

Walker is one of the very best right-backs around. He has electrifying speed, incredibly strong in the tackle and contributes at both ends of the pitch.

The 32-year-old would obviously be a huge upgrade on Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson at West Ham, and without a doubt he would be a world class signing for us, but I fear if Walker did depart Manchester City he’ll most likely join a club with Champions League football on offer.

But, stranger things have happened.

I saw this link this morning. I like Walker but surely if you consider his age and salary it is a non runner.. I hope we learn from the Ings signing. I also saw a link to Phillips, if Moyes or Newman are seriously considering him well both should be sacked not just Moyes. We need players in midfield who dont pass back or sideways 90% of the time. He is described as a defensive midfielder and I cant even see that in him. He would be an atrocious signing and a complete waste of money. Pep does not even rate him anymore just over 100 mins of PL football this season.
