West Ham look to hit financial high

|

West Ham could pocket over £20m for winning the Europa Conference League plus a place in the group stages of the Europa League next season.

Currently the Hammers have earned around £10-£12 million from their games so far which is broken down by Uefa as follows:

  • Per match win in group stage: €500,000
  • Per match drawn in group stage: €166,000
  • Group stage winners: €650,000
  • Group stage runners-up: €325,000
  • Qualification for round of 32: €300,000
  • Qualification for round of 16: €600,000
  • Qualification for quarter-final: €1 million
  • Qualification for semi-final: €2 million

Victory over AZ Alkmaar would see the Hammers qualify for the final and should they win it they will collect  £5 million or as runners-up £2 million .

However, it is going to be tough as Alkmaar are yet to lose a game on their home ground and looked an energetic and relatively skilful side at the London Stadium.

Much will depend on whether manager David Moyes attempts to hold what he has got or attacks a team and tries to inflict a defeat on them for the first time this season in their backyard.

A draw will see us through to the final. No need to go gung ho against a team who are quick on the counter attack. At home they will be under pressure to come at us which is perfect for the game which were good at which is counter attacking.

They lost at home on April 8th to Sparta Rotterdam .
