West Ham United are bracing for a crucial summer transfer window. With a significant portion of the squad ageing, out of contract, or facing potential exits, a rebuild or, at least, a substantial reshuffle is on the horizon.

Technical director Tim Steidten has his work cut out for him. The Hammers are particularly keen on bolstering their attacking options, suggesting a clear area for improvement.

The Irons  are reportedly one of several clubs being offered Barcelona’s teenage forward Vitor Roque on loan. This news comes from The Boot Room and follows a limited debut season for Roque at Barcelona after a hefty £52 million transfer.

Roque’s potential is undeniable. Brazil U20 coach Ramon Menezes praised him as a “promising young man with a bright future” who possesses “talent, a lot of speed and a great sense of goal.”

This is an intriguing proposition for West Ham’s incoming manager Julen Lopetegui. Roque’s age and talent align with the rebuild Lopetegui is likely to undertake. However, the question remains: will West Ham make a formal move for the young Brazilian?
