West Ham reportedly watched Club Brugge centre-back Stefano Denswil as his side lose 1-0 to Sporting Charleroi on Friday evening. The Hammers were one of 13 clubs from across Europe to send representatives to the watch the Belgian champions’ trip to the Stade du Pays de Charleroi.
The 23-year-old former Ajax youth product, is believed to be the target of many of the watching scouts. The left-sided centre-back has been in impressive form for his club over the past season and came close to securing a transfer to Monaco in the summer. Denswil, who is under contract until 2018, is rated around £5million. Although he joined Club Brugge on a free transfer, Ajax are due 20 per cent of any fee through a sell-on clause which could push his price higher.
Three years ago the player was linked to a move to Manchester United but the transfer failed to materialise. From the video below it looks like he could rival Payet for free kicks.
You know all about this player then do you Chris to make this assessment of him as a no mark & no better than we had.Im impressed with your knowledge of players because personally i have never heard of him.
Yeah a right sided one like Tomkins. It still ****** me of every time we get linked to another no mark defender no better than what we have or what we lost
It’s a right sided CB we need not a left sided one.
