They West Ham team to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park has just been announced.

There are surprises for West Ham United fans away at Crystal Palace today!

Largely as there are no changes to the eleven that started against Aston Villa in last Sunday’s 1-2 defeat.

There is still no place in the starting line up for Cyrencio Summerville who, along with surprise addition Edson Alvarez, are on the list of substitutes.  Similarly Aaron Wan-Bissaka is listed as a substitute today and could make his debut. New recruit Jean Clair Todibo is also a substitute today – many, including me, had hoped to see him start. In attack, Mikey Antonio is again preferred to Nicolas Fullkrug who is on the bench. The full team is:

Areola, Coufal, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson, Rodriguez, Soucek, Paquetá, Bowen (c) Kudus, Antonio

Substitutes Fabianski, Cresswell, Todibo, Wan-Bissaka, Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Summerville, Ings, Fullkrug

Like everyone else, lifelong WHU fan and season ticket holder in old BMU stand at Upton Park from 2003. Billy Bonds these days with my adult son and impatiently waiting for my Grandson to be old enough to initiate him before his mum grabs him for Man U. All opinions are my own very biased ones.

I really don’t get the starting 11 ..wtf is he doing

  • John Ayris says:

I’m amazed that there have been no changes. Lost for words. I was expecting three.

There has to be an underlying ‘not ready’ fitness-wise issue with AWB and Todibo, methinks? How good was their preseason. Understand Fullkrug on the bench, he’s always going to be a half/half with Antonio. I’ll now be worried about Eze and Coufal all afternoon…

      • John Ayris says:

I don’t get AWB, he had a full preseason and played best part of the charity shield. As you pointed out taken off late on due to a concussion. But that was two weeks ago now. Yes, Eze Coufal will have me fidgeting too.

I hope that AWB, Fullkrug and Todibo get good run outs, Summerville too. Just look at the spend that we have on the bench.

Not happy with the team selection, wanted to see more off the new players start.

  • Phil Ray says:

Did I dream we had a newansger who went out and bought some exciting players, or have I woken up and Moysie is still in charge?

    • Phil says:

      It’s Moyes Mk 2…… Soucek , Antonio , Coufal etc !!!! I give up !!! And MC next 🤣
He should be giving games to the new boys…..it’s CP on a low FFS

These comments aged well lol… This page lays bare why none of us are professional football managers.

  • Jh says:

can’t believe no changes . May as well kept moyes if he can’t see that defence needed changes and still starting Antonio FFS

  • Allan says:

Why bother buying these new players if you’re never going to start them? I want to see more of Summerville linking up with Kudus and Paqueta, put Soucek on the bench.

  • Essexiron42 says:

Still starting Antonio and same starting 11 who were so disappointing against Villa FFS, is Moyes still in charge? New signings must be wondering what they have to do after seeing almost same team who conceded 74 goals last season still get picked ahead of them.

  • Lineup says:

Disappointed with the lineup. Was hoping to see Ward Prowse.

  • Gary says:

Why are the new players not starting, I don’t understand? They’ve been brought in to strengthen our team and yet they are sat on the bench. Maybe saving them for the Caribou Cup tie against Bournemouth next week.

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

Ridiculous. Not winning any fans by persevering with the hapless Soucek and tired Antonio…

PS This website is becoming impossible to use. Slow, ads all over the place and commnents being wiped as yet another ad loads …

  • Darkhorse says:

After the poor performance against Villa, it takes some believing the manager selects the same starting line up.
I’m sure like the majority of West Ham fans this is not what we expected

  • mark wiggins says:

What the heck , strange selection , wan Bissala should start ahead of Coufal & Todibo should be a starter . Antonio ahead of Fullkrug really what is L- Lo doing . Not happy if we loose it’s down to J-Lo

  • Bournehammer says:

Very strange, still we’ve gotta trust Loppy’s judgement. He’s the running the training sessions.
    COYI!!

  • Gary Allison says:

WTF Is that line up he want sacked by Xmas
Coufal / Antonio & Soucek should be no where near first team

  • Essexiron42 says:

So p—- off to see this starting 11 again and Soucek, Coufal, Antonio etc get starts ahead of our new signings. Ings on subs bench and no opportunity for Luis Guilherme after paying £25.5 million! Get that they have to be integrated but how can they do this if they are stuck on the bench!!

  • John Ayris says:

The spend that we have on the bench is staggering.

  • Kip says:

If we get stuffed ..he will have pressure on him already…silly silly man…I HOPE IM.WRONG ..but I justcdont get that line up…suicide!..again hope I’m. Wrong

  • Kenny Irons says:

Well done JLo – gonna get run ragged again same as last year. – cannot play Soucek, decent in both boxes but in open play he is a mannequin. Worrying from the manager…..

  • Hammeroo says:

This team is Lopsided! Pun intended. Is it David Lopetegui or is it Julen Moyes?

  • Essexirons42 says:

So 9 shots in the first 45 and Dean Henderson not had to make a save! We have not been able to keep a clean sheet for 19 games but still keeps almost same starting 11 as Moyes! Get Antonio off and get new signings on now.

  • terence says:

    lol…..

  • The Cat says:

    Well well well….. 🤔

Not so quick next time 🤣
I’m glad that Lopetegui doesn’t read anything on this site ☺️
