West Ham v Spurs clash to be community event

|

West Ham will play host to a day of fun for all, on and off the pitch, as the Hammers host Spurs in the first-ever Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture at London Stadium.

The Hammers host their newly-promoted local rivals on Sunday 29 September at 2.30pm

West Ham have announced a dedicated fan zone for families, which will be open next to the stadium from 11 am. There, supporters can enjoy inflatables, five-a-side games and other football activities. Supporters will also have the chance to meet a member of the men’s first-team squad for autographs and selfies at the Stadium Store from 11.30am.

All Kids go free but must be accompanied by an Adult. Each Adult can bring up to five children, with a maximum of ten tickets per booking. West Ham season ticket holders and Claret members will pay £1 with general admission tickets priced at £2.  In addition, all supporters who secure their ticket before Friday 20 September will be entered into a prize draw to win a mascot place for this fixture. Please note that the child must be aged between 6-12.

A West Ham club insider told Claret and Hugh that ticket sales in the thousands were going really well so far with thousands of more tickets planned to be given to the local community, charities and schools.

The plan is to create a real community and family day out and is not about making any money.

While the attendance is unlikely to surpass the 43,264 who watched West Ham take on Man City women at Wembley in 2018-2019 FA Cup last season they are still expecting a decent-sized crowd considering the last league attendance at Rush green at the end of last season was 1,412.

The game has been also selected for live coverage by BT Sport.
