Wilshere linked with Italian job

|

Jack Wilshere could depart West Ham in the next few days according to Italian sports journalist Nicolò Schira

The journo has revealed that Italian Seria A club Genoa are interested in the West Ham midfielder.

On Friday the Daily Mail claimed that West Ham are in discussions with the midfielder to cancel his contract by mutual consent.

TalkSport also published a similar tale claiming the exclusive that Wilshere day’s as a Hammer were numbered.

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, after his contract had expired with Arsenal.  The 34-capped England international’s time at the London Stadium has been blighted by injuries.  Wilshere has made just 16 appearances for West Ham, racking up just one goal and one assist.

Yesterday David Moyes says he knows nothing about cancelling Jack Wilshere’s contract.

Asked about reports in a virtual pre-match press conference via Zoom the 57-year-old replied “He’s been fantastic in training. I know nothing about that, no.”

He can take the chairmen with him, judging by tonight’s performance there is a lot of demotivated players at the club after the Diangana sale, Moyes might find this season a lot harder than last, we have to have the worst defence in the league, absolutely atrocious. I blame the chairman for this get them out and the spirit at the club will lift instantly.
