Wolves 1 West Ham 2: Player Ratings
Fabianski:7 Forced to make a surprise save after good work from Semedo. Called into action shortly after from Doyle as West Ham continued to invite Wolverhampton Wanderers to attack. The pressure continued as Fabianski was forced to dribble the ball around a Wolves attacker following a poor back pass. No chance with Sarabia’s penalty. Practically nothing to do in the second half.
Coufal:3 Under constant pressure in the first half and consequently replaced.
Mavropnaos:7 Started well as Wolves launched the offensive. Resolute.
Zouma:7 Incredible tackle on Ait-Nouri. Completely out of position when West Ham conceded the penalty.
Emerson:7 Pressure eventually told when Emerson fouled Ait-Nouri to concede a penalty. Given a torrid time as he hacked down the same player at the end of the first half. Moved forward following Bowens substitution. Really unlucky to be denied a goal. Forced a penalty with a good dribble.
Alvarez:6 Lots to do at the start of the game as West Ham had only 20% possession after 20 mins. Poor pass to Fabianski. Well off the pace but like so many others he improved in the second half.

Soucek:2 Embarrassingly missed the ball when 3 yards from goal following great work by Bowen. Subbed on 45.
Ward Prowse:8 Started as a CAM then played on the left wing and he’s suited to neither. Moved into his actual position at the start of the second half and was significantly improved. Capped a brilliant second half display by scoring directly from a corner to put the Hammers ahead.
Paqueta:7 Started on the left and was indicative of the teams lethargy early in the game. Anonymous until he stroked home the penalty to make it 1-1. A real game of two halves for Paqueta.
Bowen:4 Made a chance for Soucek. Took a knock early in the second half and lasted until the 54th minute, replaced with Aaron Cresswell even though West Ham were 1-0 down.
Kudus:5 Not entirely sure what he was supposed to do in the first half given the performance of the players behind him. Fluffed his lines with a good chance on 82 mins. Tired performance.
Substitutes
Antonio:6 Half time sub for Soucek. Found it hard to impose himself on the game despite his effort.
Johnson:7 Started the half in place of Coufal. Immediately better. Good 15 yard volley forced a good save from Sarr.
Cresswell:6 On for the injured Jarrod Bowen.
