Wolves fans in revolt as their ‘top quality’ defender offered to West Ham

Tomas Soucek’s compatriot and national side skipper could be on his way to West Ham United ahead of the transfer window closing on Tuesday evening.

The Czechia captain only joined Championship rivals Wolves this year after a loan spell and the midlands’ side’s fans are in uproar about losing a talented defender to (allegedly) their main promotion rivals.

That’s according to Yahoosport:

“Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are furious after it was revealed that Ladislav Krejci has been offered to West Ham United in the final days of the transfer window…

However, when reports emerged that the Old Gold club have offered Krejci to West Ham, fans were in shock.

The Hammers are seen as one of the club’s biggest promotion rivals this season after they were both relegated from the Premier League.

Apparently West Ham have already spoken to defender – but no news on club-to-club agreement yet

Wolves fans demand that Ladislav Krejci is not sold to West Ham..”

Fan social media comments then suggested, amongst some unprintable opinions- that “This would be madness – strengthening a direct rival”.

As the Yahoo report concludes:

“Many Wolves supporters have been hoping that Krejci stays at the club past the summer transfer window to help them seal an immediate return to the Premier League.

However, fans also understand this would be a difficult task given the player’s quality and reputation.”

The Hammers have apparently already held talks with the defender but the original report from ‘ExWHUEmployee’ didn’t go into detail about any agreement between the two clubs over the centre back’s prospective transfer south. More to come on this story we suspect in the next 72 hours ahead of the window closing.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Could always send Kilman back to Wolves or still Mavropanos!

  • Irish Hammer ⚒️ says:

Not sure we should be looking to Wolves for anymore overpriced CBs. We’ve been down that road before.

    • Jack Fletcher says:

It’s West Ham that ruined Kilman’s career,he was in Southgate’s 40 player England squad when at Wolves. Its been downhill since.

  • Jack Fletcher says:

West Ham won’t pay anywhere near what he’s worth,Wolves paid over £20 mill after his loan spell,so it’s hard to see them letting him go cheaply.

  • Custom House Hammer says:

The Wolves fans have nothing to worry about because if NN (Negative Nuno) stays we will be lucky to make the play-offs so we are of no threat to them.

    Is this something new.
Everton fans rebel and reverse intended selling of one of their players.
Wolves fans look to get this possibility cancelled.

  • Hammeroo says:

Maybe Ladislav Krejci has heard great things about ex Wolves coach Nuno and how well he is doing in his job with West Ham. NOT!
