West Ham are doing their bit, apparently, to try and help one former Premier League star – labelled the ‘world’s’ most expensive midfielder in 2018 according to wikipedia – get back to match fitness and try and relaunch his career after a fairly public fall from football’s top table.
There’s even a suggestion that the Hammers could, if he proves his fitness – find a use for him this season as they look to bounce back from relegation.
According to talkSPORT, former Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli is, at the age of 30, seeking another comeback after well documented problems seemed to have curtailed his once stellar career.

..Alli is now attempting to get his career back on track once again, with reports claiming he is training at Championship side West Ham United.

West Ham are fully aware of Alli’s enduring talent and it is not too late for the ex-Tottenham man to revive his career in the Championship.
“Now, he’s had multiple chances to get himself back playing, so you can’t blame everybody else,” Robinson [former Salford Boss who met Alli] continued.
“You’ve got to look at yourself, first and foremost.
“And at the end of the day, if he is given this opportunity and he goes in to West Ham and hits the ground running, they know they’re going to have such a talented footballer. But that’s down to him. It’s not down to anybody else now.”
Alli’s last comeback didn’t go so well, with the former England international red carded after just ten minutes on the pitch in March 2025- this after almost two years away from the game. It will be interesting to see if he’s sorted out the many problems that dogged him during his decline – there is certainly a player in there somewhere who would be a useful addition to any Championship side.

Ex categorically said “no” when asked if this was true. Can we get confirmation if he is or is not training with us? We love a second chance player (or 5th in this case) so could be a good thing for us
don’t think he would be inspirational in the changing room unless he has had an 190 degree change in attitude ?
Absolutely clueless DOF, are we Spurs reserves (Soloman, Ali, Parrott), Southampton 2.0 (JWP,, Harwood-Bellis, KWP) or not quite grasping the Brighton “model” (Webster, Veltman, Adingra)
Harry might have taken him on but surely a no no for Nuno.
Pay as he plays deal could work and with so many fixtures in which we can take a chance on an unknown, he may have an opportunity to prove himself.
