West Ham’s Kids for a Quid scheme saw around 20,000 youngsters take up the offer according to Karren Brady.
She revealed: “Approximately 20,000 juniors attended a match at WHU last season for just £1. That’s 55% of all junior match tickets we sold last season.”
Her comments suggest that around 36,400 juniors attended West Ham Premier League matches last season.
This reinforces the effort to encourage the next generations of Hammers fans to become diehards.
West Ham will step up the campaign next season by selling under 16 season tickets for £99 meaning each match will cost £5.21 per match in the Olympic Stadium.
Just what the club needs,
Just hope as they grow up now they watch and learn about the West Ham Way,
Let’s keep growing and educating the kids about great entertaining football,
Dad I want a Coca-Cola!
Dad I want a hot-dog!
Dad I want the toilet!
Up and down the stairs like a fiddlers elbow!
Don’t forget the ‘two for a pound anywhere you like’ sweet stall man in Green Street. My kids drive me mad wanting them before a match then feast on a sugar rush during the game.
