avid Moyes and the board have a major decision to make after it was confirmed today that there have been complications in Kurt Zouma’s medical.
The Mirror is reporting that his move from Chelsea is now in the balance as a result and although no details have been released it confirms what ourselves and ExWHUemployee revealed earlier this week that he has a knee problem.
The on off transfer has been going on for weeks before the player finally had his medical in Paris yesterday with the scans being checked by experts in London today.
The manager and the board now have a big decision to make on a transfer which if it goes ahead will see Zouma become the club’s most expensive player at £125k a week,
Moyes will be reluctant to let the player slip away given that he was a near regular for Chelsea last season but it’s clear that serious talks will be held between him and the Hammers board.
Speaking at his pre- Crystal Palace presser Moyes said: “We had an official offer accepted by Chelsea but he is still completing his meical so I can’t tell you if that is complete or not.”
But it has emerged since that the issue will need to be settled as was the case with Said Benrahma last season when a medical looked set to hold up the deal.
Neggotiants are now continue with Chelsea and the player.
Here we go again What is wrong with us > MOVE ON NOW.
A serious knee injury five years ago and since has missed approx four games due to injury!
Without doubt Moyes has been our most successful manager in the GSB era and he has had a net transfer spend of under £10m!!
Shame on them and the reported £800m they want for the club!!
Hugh the more i think about it the more i despair. we must have known this from the outset. Chnces are we will end up in the !!!! again.
i FOUND OUT 3 DAYS AGO. IT WAS THE SAME WITH BENRAHMA
Dont think Benrahmas was A prospective knee problem was it ? Thats pretty basic=well to me anyway. And youve got to be very very sure. Dont think we are very good at that. Wilshire Dyer Carroll Didnt go very well with them-despite theyre playing ability not being in doubt. You now the saying WHEN IN DOUBT ETC. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had me worried for a moment until I read “Daily Mirror”, I would believe Boris Johnson before that load of tripe.
There seems so much wrong with this deal. He hardly seems keen on joining, money is apparently the motivation for his move. Huge payrise that eclipses several of our star players when he was guaranteed bench warming duties at best with Chelsea. Now we discover he isn’t 100% fit.
I’m not sure any if this fits with what Moyes says he is after.
Perplexed to say the least.
Zoumas knee surgery was in 2016 though Hugh, same injury as Lanzini. Or has he had a more recent problem. Are we using it as a negotiation tool? Maybe we are pushing for Zouma on loan do you think, with option to buy like we did with Benrahma? That would free up money for elsewhere.
i REPORTED EARLIER IN THE WEEK THERE WAS A KNEE ISSUE. i HAVE NO DETAILS OTHER THAN THAT MATE
If this is a signing to make the fans excited well sorry its not going to do that. It is a ridiculous signing financially, no resale value, no one will even buy him because of his salary, Winston Reid all over again. I would take him on a loan at this stage but apart from that lets move and quickly. Btw where are the other signings that we are supposed to be making !! Oh sorry we are waiting for Lingard to give him a fat contract and United a fat fee. Moyes has completely messed up the most important window in the clubs history. Just watch what happens next !! Injuries to players, players losing form because they are being over played, fans on his back and Moyes will be moaning but who is the cause of this, Moyes !! If he considers bringing in rubbish like Barkley on loan he will be absolutely destroyed by the fans. Where is our other signings, there nowhere why because they do not exist.
We are top of the league, haves absolutely caned two teams, have just got a fabulous draw in the Europa League, and yet you sound like we are 30 points adrift at the bottom of the table. Yes, all not perfect in transfer market. But not sure it is consistent to complain about Moyes not willing to overpay for average strikers and then complain that he may be willing to overpay for Lingard. In fact, not sure it is consistent to complain about Moyes, full stop. Of course, even if he won us the Prem and Champions League, somebody would find something to complain about.
