Although if the right offer came in it would have to be considered, we are in a relegation fight, Carroll gives us options no other player does, he just has to find some form, when you examine our record with him in the team against when he is out of the team it makes pretty horrible reading, so until we are out of this mess I would keep him on the payroll, just tell him to reign it in with the flying elbows.

If we weren’t in deep mire I would agree with you Laz and certainly agree he seems hell bent on getting himself sent off, probably not used to being available for selection so much. I think if he sorts his head out then he can provide us with 10 goals between now and the end of the season, we can also bypass the midfield against better teams, personally against good sides I would do an Allardyce put Carroll on the edge of the box and have two or three players around for long diagonals we will create some chances that way and it bypasses our dodgy midfield, good teams won’t like that because it negates their pressing game and puts the ball in their half, so long as we defend against the fast counter we will be in decent shape.

We got him sorted out physically now we have to sort him out mentally do we? Isn’t 100k a week enough incentive to give a little back? He’s a grown man. The only reason he’s unplayable now is because he’ll probably get sent off if we do play him. perhaps he’s realised that the annual xmas injury lay off is wearing a bit thin. Ergo looking for a ban instead. He’s become a liability. Sell asap.
32, whatever makes you think he can give us 10 goals by seasons end? That’s about his total for 2 complete seasons. He’s shown no goal threat whatsoever,or am i watching a different player?
