Burn opens up on Irons talk

|

imageFulham defender Dan Burn has played down reports linking him with a January move to West Ham.

Speaking to Get West London Burn said “It’s just speculation,” The first I heard about it was on Twitter!” “I’m pretty relaxed about things. I love playing for Fulham and want to be here.”

Ten days ago several papers suggested Sam Allardyce was considering a  move for the £4m rated defender. The 6ft 7ins defender, signed from non-League Darlington for £350,000 in 2011 is said to have impressed  West Ham scouts and they are considering a January move especially as the future of Winston Reid remains unresolved.

When Sam Allardyce was asked about Dan Burn in a press conference last week he played down speculation saying being linked to Dan Burn didn’t mean a move was on the cards.

Not sure how burn solves any of our defensive problems to be honest.

If Winston goes then we will need a prem class defender to hit the ground running and not a young lad making his way in the championship.
There would be little point buying him for the future either as imo we are very well served in this position by our very own academy. COYI!
