A majority of West Ham fans would like to see Dimi Payet back in a West Ham shirt but probably not by a big enough margin to encourage much activity in that direction.
West Ham ITK ExWHUemployee started a rumble of excitement when tweeting that a former Iron could be on his way back to the club but had been sworn to secrecy by the club as to the player’s name.
That led most into believing we were talking Payet and club insiders have admitted to CandH since that it was an option that had been considered.
ClaretandHugh wanted to find out to what extent the 31 year old Frenchman may have been forgiven by the fans and what sort of reaction he could expect were he to return.
Our own inquiries on the back of Ex’s teasing comments confirm that the Payet option had indeed been in the club’s mind.
But we have learned that the likelihood is no more than 10 per cent which backs Ex’s tweet that the deal was very unlikely.
Our poll has so far draw well over 3,000 votes with over 1800 saying they want him and just over 1500 saying no which means the yes vote commands 54.85 per cent of the vote and the no lobby trails at 45.15 pc.
Such a narrow vote makes the possibility even more unlikely.

In fact seen 4 or 5 polls on there now and all over 80% yes
If he was back and playing like he did before most of the grumbling would stop within a couple of games.
Any west ham fan that would want that petulant garlic breathed chubby back at our club, is either a new tourist or doesn’t really know what it is to be a west ham fan. there have been lots of players who have maybe not been the best in the league but because of their commitment to us and their effort they will alway be adorned in our history, then there are some that missed that boat. Ince/Defoe/Parker, that will always be loathed, Payet comes into that category.
Yet with an even narrower vote of 52% to 48%, our country is about to make a catastrophic mistake, so you never know… 😉

Just saw another online poll, daily mirror I think, 70% would take him back. Maybe it’s the way you ask the question. If you say for instance, dmitri payet was a snake, but would you take him back? Vote comes in at 50%. If you say dmitri payet was one of the best players ever to play for West Ham, would you take him back? Poll comes in at 80%.
