Poll: Would you accept Dimi Payet back?

|

A rumour that West Ham has been offered Dimitri Payet back at more money than we sold him to Marseille has got the Internet all of a flutter today.

ExWHUEmployee started the rumour yesterday on his radio show by suggesting that a former Hammer had been offered back to the West Ham but refused to name the player saying he was sworn to secrecy.

However, that has not dampened speculation on social media with most West Ham fans assuming he is talking about Payet.

Tonight we ask a simple question in the Claret and Hugh poll, would you accept Dimi Payet back as Hammer?

A simple Yes or No!

    Very exciting news (in potential)..
I have mixed feelings about Payet, but on balance, these feelings are mainly good.
When Payet left West Ham, many of the supporters saw him as a villain.
However, as much as I respect Slaven Bilic, his knowledge concerning the fine art of creative, attacking, football left something to be desired. Payet was clearly frustrated with Bilic, and I suspect, lost any respect that he may have had for him.
That said, Payet is a very clever playmaker, in addition to his sensational skills with putting a dead ball in the back of the net-he is really an excitement machine.
Perhaps, Payet sees his last good years working out well under the tutelage of Manuel Pellegrini.
We still are awaiting for any last-minute breakthrough with Felipe Anderson; should it fail, as it might, then Payet (a very different sort of player) may be a good alternative. He is a class dribbler, knows how to read a game, and I feel he could even excel beyond his high standard off play, if motivated sufficiently.
