Giroud is free to leave Arsenal this summer

|

GiroudOlivier Giroud is set for the Arsenal exit door this summer, according to reports in the L’Equipe newspaper in France.

The Arsenal striker scored 16 goals in all competitions last season despite only eleven Premier League starts. The report says Giroud is not a part of Arsene Wenger’s plans next season.

The 30-year-old signed a new deal with the Gunners in January but he was unhappy with his playing time in the second half of the campaign and recently admitted he wouldn’t settle for another bit-part role next season.

‘I will not settle for limited playing time (next season) like I have this season,’ said Giroud.

According to L’Equipe, Giroud has been told he is free to leave the club this summer.

West Ham, Lyon and Marseille are all keen on Giroud and Arsenal value the striker at around £20m.

Arsenal are planning to make a £50m bid for former West Ham target Alexandre Lacazette.

all the rumors that were doing the rounds a couple of weeks ago have died down & now all we seem to about to sign is a Spanish guy from M’boro for £8m. Giroud won’t sign for us is a given. Names that some parts of the media were saying that the players would sign in a couple of days are now being linked with anyone & everyone else.
the big difference has been mentioned already though, the club haven’t been saying anything about these rumors or telling the world who they want to buy. I have heard there’s a guy who is pretty pi$$ed off in Spain who might be up for a change…… any takers???
Have Everton robbed The Bank of England or are they spending Lukaku’s money before they get it?

Admittedly 30 is not so old but , do we really want a crest fallen ex-Arsenal player . He isn’t what you would call a highly polished finished article . And at 30 there is not a lot of time to finish the burnishing .
As I said in a earlier post , at least West Ham are refraining from talking too much . Keep everyone guessing is the correct way to go . The worrying thing is that we seem to be missing out yet again . …. I suppose the silence at West Ham would provoke that thought though .

Half expecting a sudden announcement and the waiting is excruciating .

I dont see him as crest fallen …frustrated maybe. For me, he is a step in the right direction

Kevin you are right my friend there has been very little talk which makes it all the more strange when i read so many supporters berating the daves for being all talk no action.Love them or loathe them they have said near as damn it bugger all this summer lol
The too much talk line is becoming a tad predictable and boring from some.
