Hammers cult hero leaves US after four games

|

Carlton-ColeWest Ham cult hero Carlton Cole has returned to England after his brief stint with the Sacramento Republic  came to an end.

The 33-year-old played just four matches  totalling 101 minutes without scoring a goal.

“Carlton’s now in very good physical condition and his match fitness is better than when he first arrived in Sacramento,” director of football Graham Smith told the Sacramento Bee.

He’s gone back to the UK to see what his opportunities might be there. Then he’ll let us know his plans after Christmas.

“If he is in good physical condition and wants to come back to Sacramento, I see no reason why Paul [Buckle, the head coach] wouldn’t want him back next season. He’s a real gentleman, and he’s been great to have around our young players.

West Ham fans sung Carlton Cole’s song on Saturday at Selhurst Park, videos of which he later retweeted on twitter. Although Carlton Cole is now a free agent he is extremely unlikely to re-join West Ham for a third time although could be allowed to train with us to further regain his fitness.

Well surprise surprise. This is the player big Sam was trying to convince the fans he was going to excel and and constantly get on the scoresheet only to disappoint time and time again. A player who had potential but his lack of ball control and misplaced passes let him down yet Sam still said he would come good.
Now who does that strike a chord. Oh yes Bilic regards Zaza.

I’m just so down on our performances I’m sure like many hammer fans. To struggle against Accrington Stanley says it all. We had so many great expectations this season and beating Palace wasn’t a convincing win. Thank heavens they
missed the penalty. On paper we have a very good squad so something is definitely not right. Valencia was eager to get away and it seems Sakho is to . What does that tell you

Well try taking the positive from our last performance against Palace then Darkie. The team put in a real united shift.Forget looking back at the Accrington game we didnt even have the first team playing.
I wouldn’t really read too much into anything based on Sakho or Valencia, they are hardly level headed guys are they. They are both nutcases lmao

Good old Carlton, another one who split the fans for and against him – but I always felt he gave his best for the club.

    Good luck to him!
